If more than 5 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at fullcirclevinyl@yahoo.com
FAQ
WHAT TYPES OF ALBUMS DO YOU BUY?
We're interested in almost all genres: Rock, Pop, Jazz, Blues, Country, Rap, Hip Hop... so it's probably easier to advise what we won't accept.
Genres we don't currently accept are Classical, Broadway/Showtunes, and 78's (the RCA/Victrola shellac records). We're short on space and have no way to play them. You're best bet for offloading the 78's are record shops that carry Victrolas, or antique shops.
We will accept 45's too but we ask that they be in their original sleeves.
WHAT'S THE PROCESS OF BUYING MY RECORDS AND HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
When we take in collections, we check the condition - apart from a visual inspection, we also spot play albums because even though the vinyl may look perfect to the naked eye, it may sound like garbage, skips, and can't be fixed. Then there may be a visual scratch but it plays perfectly.
We do the deep dive research for their current market value which, in addition to testing the vinyl, does take time.
For average collections, we'll need just a couple to few days to do the review. For large collections, we'll need about a week or so.
We work to go through them as quickly and accurately as possible to ensure we're getting you the best value.
DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT OR CAN I JUST BRING MY COLLECTION IN?
For an average size collection (1 to 500 albums) no appointment is needed! You can bring them in during business hours. If you can't make it during business hours, give us a call (603-556-8272) and we'll make sure we're at the shop to receive them.
For larger collections (500 or more), we can come to you.
HOW MUCH CAN I GET FOR MY RECORDS?
Naturally, this is the biggest question of all. There are many factors that go into the value of any album...is it an original, where it was pressed, is it rare and there are only so many copies in the world, is it a repress or reissue...then, of course, the condition.
Once we determine the exact pressing of an album, we average the cost based on how much it is currently selling for, and how many have recently sold and for how much. We determine what we would sell it for in our shop and we pay you 30-50% of that price. For example, if an album that would retail for $100+, we lean higher at 50% to you. If an album would retail for $10, we would pay $3. Keep in mind that not every album is worth $$$. You could have 2 copies of The Beatles' "A Hard Day's Night". One could be worth $4 and another worth $200.
If you aren't completely sure that you're ready to let go of your collection, hold onto them. We do ask that you not bring them in if you are only looking to find out the value of the batch. Our time and resources are very limited as we don't have a staff.
This is a big area where we have successfully built trust with our customers. We want you to come back and we would not risk lowballing you on an album, and then you come in and see it in our shop for sale at a much higher price.
One of our regular customers has been a vinyl collector since the early 1960's and knows his vinyl, and their worth. He was making space and sold his collection to us in batches. He'd bring in 100 at a time and never questioned our value offer as he knew we were on point. That is the kind of trust we've established with our customers and will always work to continue.
We pay cash/check/Venmo!
WHY SHOULD I SELL TO YOU IF I COULD JUST SELL ONLINE AND MAYBE GET MORE FOR THEM?
Excellent question which we have heard a few times! And our answer is very simple. If you believe that you can get more for your collection selling them yourself online, then you should absolutely do that if you know how to properly grade and price them.
